Spelling Mansion Finally Sells

The title of the highest priced home in the United States has belonged to the Spelling mansion, a.k.a. The Manor, for over two years. However, 22-year-old U.K. heiress Petra Ecclestone has bought the Los Angeles home. The selling price is unknown, although the listed price was $150 million. Petra Ecclestone also owns a six story luxury home in London, for which she paid $90.9 million. The heiress will be spending her time in both London and Los Angeles soon after her wedding to entrepreneur James Stunt in August. Her father is Bernie Ecclestone, the British Formula One racing boss and billionaire. Ms. Ecclestone's new purchase will make a great addition to her realty portfolio.

Los Angeles and Beverly Hills real estate have seen a number of super-high priced listings in recent months, including the $200,000,000 Playboy Mansion hitting the market, as well as a new development which is supposed to list at $500 Million.
